Rebuild Masjid Al Eido

Restoring The Heart of the Community,
Masjid Al Eido in Salma, Latakia, Syria

After years of conflict and displacement, a flicker of hope has returned to Syria. Families are bravely making the journey back to their hometowns, determined to rebuild their lives from the rubble. But they are returning to devastation. The war took more than just their homes; it stole the very centre of their community.

Masjid Al Eido, once a vibrant hub for prayer, learning, and gathering, now stands in ruins. For families who have lost everything, this is a devastating blow. A mosque is far more than bricks and mortar. It is the cornerstone of community life, and its reconstruction is a critical step in healing the wounds of war.

Why This Project is Urgent for Returning Families

As people return, they need more than just shelter. They need to restore the social and spiritual fabric of their lives.

Rebuilding Masjid Al Eido is essential for:

Restoring Normalcy & Hope

The call to prayer (Adhan) echoing from a minaret is a powerful symbol that life is returning. It provides comfort and a sense of stability to those recovering from trauma.

A Place for Community

This masjid served as the community's main gathering place. It's where neighbours solve disputes, children learn, and families find support.

Spiritual Sanctuary

Returning families need a clean, safe, and dignified space to gather for daily prayers, Friday Jumu'ah, and to find peace in their faith.

Encouraging Others to Return

Seeing their local masjid rebuilt is a key factor that gives other displaced families the confidence to return home, knowing their community is being brought back to life.

Our Mission

From Rubble to Sanctuary

We are raising funds to fully reconstruct Masjid Al Eido. Your donation will not just rebuild a structure; it will rebuild a home for a community’s faith.

Your contribution will directly fund:

  • Clearing the rubble and securing the foundation.
  • Purchasing essential building materials like concrete, bricks, and steel.

  • Installing roofing, windows, and doors.

  • Rebuilding the wudu’ (ablution) areas and prayer hall.

  • Providing basic carpets and a sound system.

This is a Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity) opportunity. Every prayer said, every child who learns, and every person who finds comfort within its walls will be a continuous reward for all who helped rebuild it.

Please donate today!

Help us give the returning families of Syria their community, their sanctuary, and their hope back.
