HUMAM Relief X Karangkraf di Kalumpang
On 20 December 2025, HUMAM Relief was honoured to be part of a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative led by Karangkraf, in collaboration with several strategic partners, aimed at supporting the Kalumpang community in Hulu Selangor.
Held at the compound of the Kalumpang Children’s Association (PAK) building, the programme focused on addressing essential community needs through the distribution of school supplies for children and personal hygiene kits, with special attention given to women’s hygiene and well-being.
HUMAM Relief’s Focus: Dignified Women’s Hygiene Care
During the programme, HUMAM Relief’s Chief Executive Officer, Siti Sakinah Meor Omar Baki, delivered an awareness briefing and led the distribution of women’s hygiene kits to promote greater understanding of the importance of personal hygiene, particularly during menstruation.
She highlighted that menstruation is a natural part of a woman’s life, yet it is still often treated as a sensitive subject, resulting in menstrual hygiene receiving insufficient attention within society. In many cases, women are unable to manage their hygiene properly not due to a lack of awareness, but because of limited access and financial constraints in obtaining basic necessities.
Driven by this reality, HUMAM Relief introduced the women’s hygiene kit initiative to help those in need access essential hygiene items with dignity and respect.
The distribution of these kits was not merely physical assistance, but also served as an educational platform to raise awareness that women’s hygiene is a fundamental component of health, well-being, and quality of life.
Strengthening Community Empowerment Through Collaboration
The CSR programme was implemented through a strong partnership between Karangkraf and its strategic collaborators, including Yayasan Mr D.I.Y, MK Land Berhad, Intimate by NTPM, and HUMAM Relief.
Karangkraf’s involvement in this initiative reflects its commitment to a community-empowerment-based approach, which aligns closely with HUMAM Relief’s mission to deliver compassionate, practical, and sustainable support to communities.
For HUMAM Relief, this collaboration represents the value of cross-sector partnerships in creating meaningful, people-centred impact where immediate needs are met while awareness, dignity, and long-term well-being are prioritised.
