Where Walls Fell, Their Hope Never Did. Help Restore Their School.
Rehabilitating this war-damaged school is more than rebuilding walls. It is about giving children in the area the opportunity and hope that they have long been denied.
This classroom once shaped futures, with you support, it can do so again.
Over a decade of conflict in Syria has severely damaged essential institutions such as schools, hospitals, and mosques, leaving communities struggling to rebuild their lives. After the liberation of Syria in December 2024, many families began returning home, but most schools remain in poor and unsafe condition, preventing children from learning in a proper environment.
The school in Salma, Latakia, Syria is among the worst affected. Once a vital centre for education, it now suffers from serious structural damage, lack of water and electricity, and inadequate furniture.
Through the School Rehabilitation Project, HUMAM Relief aims to restore the school into a safe and functional space for children to learn and grow. This initiative seeks not only to rebuild a school but also to restore hope and stability within the community.
